A Little Highland Hospitality, Brought To You
There’s something rather special about sharing a fine dram in good company, particularly when there’s a fascinating story behind the whisky in your glass.
Let me bring the wonderful world of Scotch whisky directly to your accommodation, holiday retreat or private gathering in the Scottish Highlands.
My hosted whisky tastings are individually tailored, informative and entertaining, with no prior whisky knowledge required. Whether you’re discovering Scotch whisky for the first time or already have a favourite dram, there’s always something new to explore.
From the rich, smoky character of Islay’s peated malts to elegant Highland whiskies and intriguing cask-strength expressions, I’ll guide you through a carefully selected range of whiskies, sharing their stories, craftsmanship and individual character along the way.
No complicated jargon or lengthy lectures — just fine whiskies, engaging conversation and a relaxed atmosphere.
And best of all, nobody needs to worry about driving afterwards!
Your Whisky Experience, Your Way
Every tasting is a little different, and that’s part of the pleasure.
Perhaps you’d like to explore the distinctive whisky regions of Scotland, discover a particular distillery or compare different styles and maturation techniques.
For something more unusual, we could venture into rare expressions, special vintages or whiskies selected around a particular theme.
Tastings can also incorporate carefully chosen chocolate pairings or begin or conclude with a specially prepared whisky cocktail.
Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, marking a special occasion or simply enjoying an evening with friends, I’ll work with you to create an experience that suits your interests, group and budget.
What to expect
- A warm, relaxed welcome — no previous whisky knowledge required.
- Four carefully selected drams, normally 30ml each.

- Plenty of opportunities to ask questions, compare flavours and explore your own preferences.
- A friendly, unhurried atmosphere where everyone can participate.
- Optional chocolate pairings or a pre- or post-tasting whisky cocktail.
Above all, the emphasis is on enjoying the occasion together. Whisky should be fascinating, but never intimidating!
